Happy holidays, everybody!  The only thing that possibly could dim the lights on Rich Robbins’ shiny ornaments is the potential loss of Chris Ray to the Pirates.  But enough gloom and doom.  The Red Hots have much to be joyous about when looking at their potential reserve roster…how can he go wrong with minor leaguers named Head and Cannon?  Speaking of the magic beans, the certain retainees are Cameron Maybin (2), N. Reimold (2) and B. Erbe (2).  Now, for Klein’s sake, on to the Real Keepers:

On offense, it’s Grady Sizemore (11/LT08) and that’s it.  But, with plenty of pitching and the careful tutelage of Ron Shandler, the Red Hotties have every opportunity to make another run at the Prize.  Consider these twirlers: Dan Haren (13/y2); Huston Street (10/y2); Felix Hernandez (5/y2—whaddya think that’s gonna get extended to?!); Chris Ray (5/y2); Jose Contreras (14/y1); and C. Wang (8/yr1).

So, there you have it–plenty ‘o pitching, much of it in an option year. So there’s plenty of intrigue in the Palace of Robbins, but enough skill to slay the dragon, if not the beast within.

Until I disarm the Nukes, that’s all for now!!
