Most injuries in history?

How about the Calamari with Magglio Ordonez, Shannon Stewart, Troy Percival, Kevin Brown, Arthur Rhodes, Brandon Inge, and Melvin Mora all either still on or recently returned from the DL.

See, Jeff, the problem with the whole fifth place thing is that the Bombers are now within a razor's edge of third, not fifth, and passing a team that supposedly bulked up for this year. I know you get that.

But, see, Mark, and I know you're smart enough to figure this out, the problem with your whole analysis is that its based on a faulty assumption. A dumping team is one that got considerably stronger for the following season. You're didn't. You have only two good keepers to build around (Mulder, in the last year of his contract and Huff). Also, dumping teams move their very best talent. You still have a roster with guys like Sheffield, Anderson, Ichiro, etc. Wanna bet you continue your non winning streak next year? I'll give you good odds. Good news, though, I spoke with Brad and he has generously offered to explain this game to you. I think that could be a valuable call.

Although your tunnel vision blinds you to this, you might also note that while you are just behind me (a team with the most injuries in franchise history), you are ahead of three teams that haven't dumped (Angry Young Men, Calamari and Brats). Two of these teams, I might add, "bulked up" for this year (Angry Young Men and Calamari). Heaven only knows what you must think about those three teams' efforts this year.

Jeff
