Since when is Mark Kerber Doug's shill?
 
As for Mondsei:
 
1.    I wasn't alone.  Somebody else bid  $50.
2.    His career numbers suggest he's something other  than a bum.  However, 
I suppose if you use Mark Kerber logic, I  can see your point.  He wasn't very 
good during his last 34 at bats, so it  necessarily follows that he wouldn't 
have been good for his next 300,  despite more than 10 years of major league 
numbers that suggest  otherwise.  The converse would also apparently have been 
true,  if  only a few more of those ground balls had found holes and he was 
10-34 rather  than 4-34, I'd have had myself one hell of a Kerber commodity.  
(e.g. Matos  has been good for his last 25 at bats, so he's going to be freaking 
amazing for  his next 350, despite his .250 average).
