Knowing full well that:

i) The Klein Nine possessed a player that could very well make the difference 
for the Block's Bombers as Lance Carter plus Dennys Baez gurantees all of the 
Tampa saves for the Bombers; and 

ii) Andy Klein is an incredibly reasonable and fair gentlemen who was looking 
for nothing more than appropriate value in return

I assumed that the next big pre-freeze announcement would be that the Klein 
Nine had made the final tweaks to their roster by moving Carter for a similarly 
valuable player from the Bomber's roster.  Of course, that failed to take 
account of Mr. Blocker's well deserved reputation for being unable to pull the 
trigger on a deal.

The good news is that out of frustration from his inability to get Mr. 
Blocker to do what would clearly have helped both teams, Mr. Klein became willing to 
put his past prejudices behind him and turn to the Berliners for help.  

And, gentlemen......help is what he found.  In the letters A....R....O....D.

I am pleased, even honored to announce the following mutually beneficial 
transaction:

The Klein Nine trade Pedro Martinez and Jay Gibbons to the Berliners for Alex 
Rodriguez and Ben Broussard.
