Aquilino Lopez gave up four runs in the ninth inning of today's game, leaving him with a 9.31 ERA.
Perhaps Lopez isn't such a shoo-in to be Toronto's closer. Kerry Ligtenberg has been the team's most impressive reliever, but Justin Speier has also been effective and should be considered the top candidate to beat out Lopez for the job.
