[USML Announce] Congratulations to Rick

Greetings .....
And thank you, gentlemen. Given the level of competition, I do consider it an achievement to be proud of. When that 16 point lead shrunk to 1 point a few weeks ago, I was absolutely worried. I will forever be in Mr. Wickman's debt because thanks to the year he had it allowed me to trade H. Street, which ultimately
brought in the offensive reinforcements.
I'll do my best to comport myself with the honor and integrity expected from a Damon recipient. But before I go Sally Field on y'all, I ask you, is Michael Young the most obscure batting champ of our time? I love the guy, but I'll bet if you asked 50 people on the street who Michael Young is, 48 of them would have no idea.
Thanks again, and only 173 days 'til Roster Freeze Day!
  Rick
p.s. Go Chisox! And Pacers!

League:
Rick, congratulations on an excellent campaign. You are a very deserving champion. You started with an excellent retention roster and made it stand up against all comers. Congrats to 2005 champion Hoosiers !
Also, congrats to the Brats for their torrid, final day climb into the money. Not only did you get the save you needed, but two wins to boot !
And last, but not least, a tip of the cap to the 2004 champion Nukes, who I think we all thought had no chance to repeat, but got a lot closer than we thought they would.
See you all next year -- which will be the 18th USML season. Our league will finally be old enough to drink !

Now that Jeff has conceded, I will officially join the
chorus. Way to go, Rick!
Keep the Damon safe. It's coming to the Nine in 2006
