Just updating this one.  The Angels are merely being cautious with Colon, and he'll probably be back in a few weeks.  Also, Guardado has said that his torn rotator cuff, while painful, is not really the problem.  And his manager has given him two public votes of confidence this week.  Oh, and Zito's only gotten knocked around in 3 of his 5 starts.  So, yes, Shabes in now in fine shape indeed.
 
I think Rick must be stealing Brad's flaxseed oil.

The Dave Clark Five couldn't say it any better.  Even though Colon's season is shot and EV Eddie is no longer ready, you cannot fault the Angries for making this deal and laying down the gauntlet.  Kudos to the HDs for accepting Winick's admonishment that they had no shot this season, then took the very players coveted by Jeffery...nice goin'!!!
