"Monster-Talent" Joey Gathright was traded by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays to  
the Kansas City Royals for pitcher JP Howell.  That isn't possible, you  say?  A 
monster-talent like Joey Gathright traded straight up for a  middling 
pitching prospect like JP Howell.  Ok, you're right.  Tampa  Bay had to throw in 
Fernando Cortez to get the deal done.  At this juncture  its beginning to appear 
increasingly likely that PT/KR may have misjudged  Mr. Gathright's potential.
