[USML Announce] 2B or Not To Be

Yup.

By the way, the last time we voted I think we were evenly split and with Buddha in the leaugue now I suspect the proposal might pass.

This is exactly the kind of distraction I feared when Andy floated his message. Here we are a few days before the draft trying to finalize language on Jim's proposal -- which Jeff was kind enough to draft. Note to league -- if you are not going to propose specific wording then please don't bother "proposing" something.

I strongly support Buddha's proposal -- it's one that I've favored for years. In fact, I've sent Buddha the text he can use. That being said, now is not the time. Can we please treat this year's rules fuss as an exception to our time-tested approach?

The NL stats thing has a long history, Buddha.? I would support it, along with the same folks who have historically supported it.? However, unless a couple of people change their minds, it will fail.
?
That said, I don't think we should be taking on any additional rule changes this close to the draft anyway.? We've usually tried to do this pretty far in advance so it doesn't get in the way of draft prep.
?
This whole Barrett/Klein thing is an exception to normal process already--an exception which occurred only because Klein's commnunist conspiracy managed to plant its insidious ideas in the heads of a few key fellow travelers and some weak-willed types who couldn't see where they were being led.? Those of us who see clearly will continue to fight for truth, justice and purity of essence.

What about the rule allowing players traded to the NL to continue to accrue stats...it keeps getting swept away without a? vote.....
?
Can we address this as well???? I also support 2B.
