Rich:

It must be (and is) a proud moment for the Might Red Hots, as your Ghandi-like wait for Cameron Maybin has finally paid off. Kudos to the Red Hots! However, I must take issue with your characterization of my players as a "collection of collegiate players." They are now full-fledged minor leaguers, and not college players, and they are certainly not 17 year-olds, like Cameron Maybin was when you first acquired him (am I right about that?).

Anyway, because this is such a great day for the Red Hots, I will save for another day my review of the great retained players residing on the Bombers roster, including two of the top 3 starting pitcher ratios in the AL (for a combined $10).

Let Brad shout about Clay Buckholz and let Blocker tout his collection of collegiate players, look out for the Red-Hots in 2008.

Cameron Maybin ($2) has been promoted to the big leagues, once Buckholz is sent down (as expected), the BoSox will almost certainly promote Ellsbury ($2). Josh Fields ($5) is, and will be, the third baseman for the White Sox (where will Crede end up?) and Bobby Jenks ($6), well, he's The Man. Suzuki ($6) is hitting dingers. Pedroia (expensive by comparison at $13, but worth every penny) is hitting .326 and is starting to show a little speed and some power. Grady Sizemore ($11) is Grady Sizemore. Melky Cabrera ($5) is producing nicely. King Felix ($15) has had a few bumps along the way, but he's going to dominate next year. Nick Swisher ($7), Travis Buck ($2), Lester ($1) . . .

Then there's the flotilla of prospects recently covered by Baseball America: Lars Anderson, Hank Conger, Gorkys Hernandez, Eric Hurley, Jeff Niemann . . . Oh my.

There's a freight train called the Mighty Red-Hots rumbling in the distance. It's going to be awfully hard to stop.

	Respectfully,

	-- Rich
