"The Denver Post reported Sunday the Rockies are targeting young  relievers 
_Craig Hansen_ (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/baseball/mlb/players/7683)  
and _Manny Delcarmen_ 
(http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/baseball/mlb/players/7612)  and that Helton is prepared to nix any  deal if it isn't consummated soon 
because he doesn't want to deal with any  distractions during the season." 
DUMP says that Helton and his $16.6 million dollar contract aren't worth a  
bucket of warm spit, but it appears that that is precisely what the Rockies are 
 looking for.  Our only disappointment is that if the deal goes through, the  
Klein Nine will have nine dollars at the draft that they otherwise would  
have wasted on Mr. Hansen.  It is, however, good news for Hansen as this  will 
provide him with a more than adequate excuse for what is sure to be a less  than 
inspiring career.
