[USML Announce] Notes From Sox Fest '07

Hi, Gents.  A good time was had by all, as usual.  Conor procured Big
Bobby's autograph on a photo of him celebrating his 1st save of the World
Series, and reports that he does indeed look 20 lbs. lighter, so I  expect
the LMC to extend his contract by that very sum, and rightfully so...Ryan
got Jansen family hero Paul Konerko's signature on a shot of him watching
that Game 2 homer sail into Sox folklore forever--how cool is that....Brian
Anderson sported flowing, curly locks, a snug tee-shirt and a tattoo of what
appeared to be a pepper on his forearm--as a salvo to my daughter I wasted
other autograph opps to get his signed photo for her, but cf. him to the
clean-cut, better dressed Ryan Sweeney, who I bet will be your main CF going
forward (at least he looked like he actually wants to make the team this
year)...Darin Erstad was polite, gracious and limping as usual, but we
welcome him to the Sox family and expect he'll likely play a lot of LF and
maybe some CF if/when Pods returns.... A.J. just wants to kick Winick's ass
(I told him to get in a line longer than the one for Bobby Jenks'
autograph)....notwithstanding Mark Buehrle's easygoing demeanor, I expect
that he will rebound big time in '07, this his walk year, and count on the
'Pubs keeping him at $28 based on that inside intel...steal of the Fest: a
kids' tee-shirt of the mid-80s logo, actually manufactured back then, for
only $5 (cheaper than the hot dogs!)......still don't know why Kenny W.
traded away Freddy Garcia for future considerations when he's not gonna have
the 4 horsemen in the middle of the lineup forever, but if anyone can figure
out Gavin Floyd let's hope it's Don Cooper...oh, and Minnie Minoso still
looks great--seeing that WS ring up close is an awesome experience, almost
as good as fondling the Damon, I bet....
