[USML Announce] HATE TO BE A SNITCH

Buddha is correct. Once a player loses MLB rookie status, he can't be
slotted on the reserve roster for retention purposes. I once proposed a
rule to change this, once, but got shouted down! Here's the language
from our constitution: "In addition to the players that a team may
protect from its roster of Active and Reserve Roster players pursuant to
Section 17.1 <http://www.usml.net/rules.html#Section%2017.1>, a team may
also protect an additional three players on its Reserve Roster,
/provided/, that such players have major league rookie status and have
never been on the Active Roster of a League team _*(without regard to
anticipated opening-day major league status)*_."

Speaking of shouted down, between Brad's various rants and insults, it
appears as if my original proposal garnered 5 votes of support and 5
votes opposed. Gammons should be required to get off the fence and
weigh in.
