Instead of wasting?your time arguing the merits of Jason Kubel's recent performance, I encourage you to take a look at the standings.? I'm quite aware that Brad Lee awarded The Damon to Mr. Gammons many months ago, but as of the end of the afternoon games, there is a mere 3 1/2 point margin between Mr. Gammons and yours truly and the K9 are only 5 points behind me.? Then take a look at the fact that the Berliners are only 6 home runs behind the Hoosiers, that the K9 are only 7 runs behind the Hoosiers, that the Angry?Young Men are a mere .001 in batting average behind the Hoosier, that the Hoosiers are?tied with the Red Hots and only 2 saves ahead of the K9, and the Berliners are only 4 K's behind the Hoosiers.? This has the potential to be one of the best races to the?wire in recent memory.

As for Kubel, all you need to know?is that he will?almost certainly be a Berliner before June 2008.
