I suppose we could wait until next week.? That is a possibility, although it would screw those who are determined to have lost after the fact since they won't be able to use their budget to bid on other players.? There's also the problem that in one scenario I would be the only bidder on Griffey and in another there would be no bidders.? Do teams get to bid on Griffey next week if they didn't this week.

The constitution doesn't allow contingent bids, so that would mean that both Jim and my bids would be thrown out, I suppose.? In Jim's case, explicitly so, in my case, a little more ambiguous.? That seems a bit harsh in light of the explicit agreement to allow teams to take advantage of the systems capabilities.? On the other hand, what Jim did is EXACTLY what the rules were designed to preclude.? I do have to admit to being frustrated at his cavalier attitude.? He did EXACTLY what Mark warned teams to avoid and yet, here we are.

And the answer has huge implications.? Nady is definitely going to Andy, but depending on how this gets sorted out, Tex goes to either Jim or you, Bay goes to either Jim or me....well you see what the problem is.

I really have no good idea for how to tackle this one.?

Can we replicate bids next week and see what the system does and adjust 
effective dates?

Can we use our constitution which I suspect has enough detail to sort it out?  I 
know we rejected the rules and agreed to go with the web site.  I just throw it 
out as a possibility.
