Every contract status reflects last year, rather than the player's current status.

L3 is a player with two years left on his contract.? L2 is a player in the last year of his extended contract.? L1 is a free agent, having completed the last year of an extended contract.? O is a free agent.? S2 is a player that was drafted last year and won't be in his option year until next year.? S1 is a player that was retained last year and is in his option year.? If his contract isn't extended, he will be a free agent at the end of this year.
