You can say what you want about Masterson but he's still one of their
top prospects in their system and will be starting next year (don't
believe what they're saying for this year to stand next year) when Colon
is out of their rotation.
Not sure I remember correctly, but I think the kid had some really good
performances this year in a starting role. Mark, if you are up for
trading back, I'm happy to talk.

If you're trying to do a deal w/ Blocker, you should take a look at this
Masterson kid. He might make a decent middle reliever if the re-tooling
is successful. I figure you'll like him. He's got a wicked slider and
shaky control--eerily reminiscent of Craig Hansen. Your kind of guy.

I hereby propose two mid-season rules proposals:
1. That the statistics of players traded to the NL during the season
continue to count for USML purposes.
2. That Mark Blocker be required to return phone calls and messages when
other players try to trade with him (futile though that might be ...)
