In celebration of the Block's Bombers first championship since 1993, a final
song.

 

Here it is, with apologies to Prince (sung to the tune of 1999).  Thanks to
all for an excellent season..

I was dreamin' when I drafted 
Thinking if only I could celebrate 
A USML title 

Geez, how long would I have to wait?

Then my team started fast 
My guys were producin' everywhere
But its been sixteen years since I had won 
You know, dreaming I didn't even dare

Oops, time to Damon me!
So tonight I'm gonna party like it's 1993!

So sue me if I go too fast
But I jettisoned Price and Wieters 
Hey, those beans weren't meant to last

Those Riptorns tried to stalk me 
My team said prepare to fight
Then Brad dropped out 
And soon no one was left in sight

So tonight I'm gonna party like it's 1993!

But along came the Angries 
Suddenly knocking at my door
I flushed out Joba 
And suddenly Doug was no more

Or so I thought 
Until Doug pulled within five 
But with three weeks left

My team went into overdrive.

Oops, time to Damon me!
So tonight I'm gonna party like it's 1993!

Then the last out was recorded

The season at last had flinched

I looked down at the standings

The Bombers has finally clinched
