[USML Announce] FAAB

Yikes, I see we have forgotten some stuff from last year. Yes, if you
direct that a player be waived if you win a FAAB bid, the player is only
waived if you actually win.

Mark K: to answer your question from earlier, it looks like it rolled over
some FAAB adjustments from last year, but I have now eliminated those, so
everyone should have a FAAB balance of $100.

I assumed the waiver of a player was contingent on a winning bid. If that's
not the case, may need an adjustment tomorrow. I am on the road and won't
have access to the site before tomorrow.

Never mind. Now I see that the system actually shows, among players
available to be waived, an open slot.

I want to fill my empty slot, but Bid Meister requires a waiver as part of
the bid process. Can I put in a "dummy" waiver and over-ride it via e-mail
to the transaction mailbox?

I think that is probably a good idea. I doubt it will be needed but the
redundancy is hard to argue with. Also, note that you only need to submit
bids, and accompanying waivers, but not the moves that follow.

Now enough roto. I must go change into my Duke National Champions 2010
T-Shirt.... yes!

Mr. Commissioner,

Should we "back up" our bids to usmltrans this week? Or do we trust the
system to work?

Humbly,

-Andy
