the deadline, the Riptorns and Berliners exchanged the following  
players:

Justin Smoak (currently batting .353 with a .500 OBP in AAA and days  
away from ripping it up in Arlington)
Carlos Carrasco (currently 2-0 with a sub 3 ERA in AAA and waiting to  
get called up and dominate in Cleveland)
Tony Pena (White Sox stud middle reliever)
