Last time I checked, the games count in April and May every bit as much as they do in June, July and August.  So, while I share your belief that others will be dumping later this year, I don't see the wisdom in waiting.  And, I might point out, neither did you, for that brief moment of clarity you experienced at the beginning of last season.  And that turned out alright, didn't it?  Hey, your brief foray into the world of us DUMP members was a good move for you.  Come on over to the darkside.  You'll be welcomed with open arms.  Now, Andy, on the other hand.....

As for Lackey, as Buddha and his buddies at Goldman Sachs will tell you, if you can make a market and you're able to avoid going to jail in the process, all is well.  Unfortunately for me, our rules disallow retroactive trading.  But for that, I assure you there would have been a market clearing price for exactly such a move.

  Apparently you define ?holding the bag? as failing to be part of the effort to help Brad (a) be done with USML by end of April, and (b) be a title contender in 2012.  I am confident Brad will not be the only team dumping, and at least for now, I remain in the mix.  In the meantime, I am waiting for your announcement that you have agreed to trade John Lackey back to the Riptorns, but just for purposes of his last outing.

Ah....let the games begin.  
 
Looks like the defending champ was left holding the bag.  And just when I thought Mark had figured out from his successful 2009 campaign that you need to strike quickly, he appears to be back to his "let me think this over" approach.  Its like they say...he who hestiates is lost.

By the way, to anyone who now recognizes that they'll be playing for 2011, I'm now looking for an outfielder.  Mike Cameron is down and looks out for awhile.  Lots of goodies left to trade.
