It looks like 3/20-21 won't work well for me, although I could do it in a pinch. The other weekends look OK for me.

By the way, who's this new Oakland pitcher? Does anybody own him?

Mark

Subject: [USML Announce] USML 2010 -- Let the games begin !

League:

Now that we have all enjoyed watching The Gunslingerblow up the Vikings? Super Bowl chances, its time to start planning forthe 2010 USML season. I am assuming all teams are returning for the 2010season, but let me know if that is not correct.

We have two items to address right away: (1) settinga draft date and (2) choosing a stat service. Some comments on each ofthese.

1. Draft date: Opening day of the MLB season islisted on mlb.com as Sunday, April 4, which is also Easter. The firstnight of Passover is Tuesday, March 30. It appears we have three weekendswe can choose from: the weekends of (a) March 20/21, (b) March 27/28, or (c)April 3/4. We have not done a draft after opening day in quite some time, but I suppose we could also look at the weekend of April 9/10. Pleasesend a response to this e-mail with your availability on each of thosedates. I will tally the responses and see if we can find a date thatworks decently (notice I did not say perfectly) for everyone.

2. Stat service: It seems like every year were-visit the issue of which stat service to use, and we have switched in searchof greener pastures. My own view is that the onroto service that we usedlast year was quite good, and that we should NOT switch stat services thisyear. One word of caution here: my trips to the onroto.com site have not revealedany signs that they are actively preparing for the 2010 season, which gives mesome pause, but assuming the website is operational, I vote to stay. Letme know what your views are by return e-mail.

I will have some other issues we may want to addressin the near future, but these two items are priority. Please respond bye-mail as soon as you can.
