[USML Announce] Perfect for Father's Day! New Jewish BaseballCards

I think your brother is probably right about UCLA, but I unfortunately spent enough time on the campus to find out. If Stanford were the U of C of the West, I can assure you I'd have transfered somewhere else--maybe UCLA. (Not for academic reasons, obviously.)

The funny thing is that my client tells me you've all got it wrong. Stanford is the University of Chicago of the West and Harvard is the University of Chicago of the East. Cal (or Berkeley as it is more commonly known) is where you go to protest and get high. USC is where you go to watch a good football game and my brother Mark assures me that UCLA is where you go to get laid. That sounds about right to me.

Thanks for making that clear Mark. I need help with this whole school rivalry thing.

I was being deferential, actually. Harvard is best known in CA as the Stanford of the East. Cal is best known as a good place to hire when you run out of Stanford grads. (Beats the heck out of USC at least, unless you're hiring for the Laker Girls.)

Well said. <Insert denigrating remark about Stanford here.> Go Bears. Stunning defeat for Cal Rugby this past week.

Kerbs:

Fine by me to refer to Stanford as the Harvard of the West, but check with new Cal fan Rich Robbins, who may prefer that you refer to it as the Yale of the West, connoting a second place status.

Fuld is also a Stanford guy, breaking the White Sox hammerlock on the Harvard of the West.

There are only 14 active Jewish players right now, the rest of the cards are all time greats (Koufax, Greenberg, etc.):

Brad Ausmus

Ryan Braun

Craig Breslow

Scott Feldman

Sam Fuld

John Grabow

Gabe Kapler

Ian Kinsler

Jason Marquis

Aaron Poreda

Ryan Sadowski

Scott Schoenenweis

Josh Whitesell

Kevin Youkilis

I check periodically to identify targets. Doug, now do you understand why I keep petering you about Youkilis?

By the way, it had totally escaped me that the Cubs have 2 Jews on the squad (Fuld and Grabow). How can they not be winning?

I'm surprised that there are fifty cards in this set.
