[USML Announce] Is Winick Polishing His Resume?

Thanks, guys. Jazzy had a good day today, but Rebecca was even better. Jazzy grabbed a narrow lead with two events to go (out of eight total across two days). But Rebecca put up huge scores in the last two events to close it out.

I'll have my guys in St. Paul take care of this. Did you say her name

was Kerrigan.....Nancy? Rumor has it that she's about to suffer a

modest soft tissue injury. Not serious, but I'm afraid she will not be

able to continue. If she proves too elusive to catch in the hallways,

we've got a fellow with a graphite gun in the stands. It's amazing how

slippery things get when they've got a little graphite squirted on them.

All I'm saying is that I like Jazzy's chances. ;-)

Seriously, though, Jazzy is amazing. Anyone who hasn't watched the

video of her competing in Nationals should do so. She is a truly

extraordinary athlete. Congratulations, Mark!

Jeff

Not very. It's basically one significant mistake in one event. But

Rebecca will be tough to catch. She's the defending champion and

generally comes up big on the second day of two-day competitions.

Jazzy will almost certainly have to put together four consecutive

strong events to get it done.

Jeff:

For tickets, we'd all claim you kicked our butts every year. Rich can

modify the usml.net site.

Mark

P.S. Wear your rally caps tomorrow. Jazzy needs to close some ground

at nationals:

"As for what qualities he will seek in the new GM, [Cubs owner and

former USML member Tom] Ricketts listed player-development skills and a

strong baseball analytical background. [Former GM Jim] Hendry was not a

proponent of sabermetrics."

Jeffrey ... I assume you are polishing your resume. I think Blocker

might have an "in" for you ...
