[USML Announce] Kidney Stoned

For reasons entirely unrelated to kidney stones, I have to concur with the Professor. Beer is infinitely better after it has been distilled. Whisky - the water of life.

As for the water thing, I'll add my experience. I've had both kidney stones and gout. Both of which are the consequence of the build-up of uric acid. In one case, it crystalizes in the joints, in the other it forms a "stone" within the ducts of the kidney. Having spent many hours in doctor's offices trying to prevent a recurrence of either, the best answer lies in H2O. The water flushes out the uric acid from the kidney and lessens the likelihood of problems like kidney stones and gout. My instructions were to drink 6-8 quarts of water a day. That and a prescription for Allopurinol have kept me symptom free for years.

Buy yourself a nice filtered water bottle and drink like a camel storing up water for a long walk through the desert. You won't be sorry.

Jeff

Forget the beer. Go for scotch whisky.
