How did League do last year when given a chance to close? Just askin'.

A memory: last year the Jays were without a real closer, and announced that

Jason Frasor would open the year as closer. Frasor just happened to be on my

roster. Well, after a few saves were mixed with a few bad outings, the Jays

decided that wasn't such a good idea to have Frasor close, and started having

others close. He finished the year with four saves. Maybe things will work out

better for young Mr. League, but just a cautionary tale.

Perfect? Other than in the context of the classic joke, "Why won't he ever have

hemoroids? Because he's a perfect a-hole.", I make no such claim.

By the way, I still think Rich should have kept Zobrist. We can revisit this

issue later in the year. Since you won't bet a bug, I'll bet you lunch that

Zobrist out-earns League. I'll also put the odds at 1-2 that the issue becomes

moot because Rich buys Zobrist in the auction.
