Number 2 isn't very hard to answer. (Yes.) Number 1 is worth of a law school final.

Subject: [USML Announce] Ask Brad Jansen - September Edition

Dear Brad Jansen,

QUESTION #1

Please rank the following Top Ten in order of stupidity:

1. Retaining Franklin "Tummy Ache" Gutierrez instead of Matt Joyce at
$7. (Joyce is .283-16-64-12 for the year.)
2. Waiving Casey Kotchman in April because he was blocked by Manny
Ramirez. (Ramirez retired less than week later. Kotchman is hitting
.312 for the year.)
3. Trading Jeff Francouer at $1 for the miserable, rotten Fausto
Carmona. (Francouer is .282-17-77-20 for the year; Carmona's ERA is
approaching the size of the national debt.)
4. Picking up the phone when Kerber called to convince me that I should
trade for Kevin Gregg.
5. Picking up the phone when Kerber called to convince me that I should
trade for Julio Borbon. (Had I waited 15 minutes, I would have known
that Borbon was undergoing season-ending ankle surgery.)
6. Activating Joel Piniero after Kerber traded him to me for Buehrle,
suggesting that pitcher was a "nice, safe pitcher, just like Buehrle."
(Piniero ERA since trade: 6.49; Buehrle ERA since trade: 3.88.)
7. Believing Gammons when he told me that John Lackey had "turned it
around."
8. Giving up on Juan Pierre at mid-season (.308, 15 steals after I
dealt him.)
9. Waiting for Scott Baker to regain his health (Like waiting for Godot.)
10. Thinking that Blocker would make a trade.

QUESTION #2

Are the 2011 Red Hots the most dominant team in USML history, likely to
finish with about 95 points in a ten-team league.

Thank you in advance for your answers.

-Andy
Owner of the the Klein Nine, second -- scratch that -- probably
third-place finisher, 2011
