[USML Announce] Wacky

Greetings; 

    Courtesy of Deadspin.com, a couple more wacky stats;  Shaq Green- Thompson 

was this year's 18th round draft choice.  He's playing for their Gulf Coast League team 

as an outfielder.  He's had 32 official at-bats this season.  He's got 0 hits and 31 strike- 

outs.  That's right, 0-32/31 Ks.  He did make contact once and grounded out.  Don't 

feel too bad for Shaq though.  T he stupid name notwithstanding, he'll be playing football 

for the U. of Washington this fall and is the #1 safety prospect in the nation. 

     On the other side of the coin, Aaron Cook (dropped by the H.D.s earlier this year) is 

actually doing fairly well - just ask the White Sox.  But in 29 2/3 innings pitched this year, 

he's got two SOs.  That's a 0.61 K/per 9 innings ratio!  The inevitable question is what 

happens if Cook faces Shaq?  Discuss. 

     Oh yeah, the H.D.s are stubbornly still battling it out this year.  Anyone interested in 

some solid keepers in exchange for hitting help?
