Just be sure you're wearing something under it, or Winick's going to have to get your chair cleaned.

It's called a kilt and for that I shall ring my bagpipes to play!

If somebody starts him at less than $40, or bids $1 increments below about $45, they should have to wear a skirt for the remainder of Draft Day.

That is correct. Which makes him a bargain at a mere $50.
And, of course, I don't count you out on the bidding. To the contrary,
'm counting on it. With you and your $1 pitching strategy, I figure
hat alone guarantees price enforcement on those two guys up to at
east $50.

eff,
Am I correct that Pujols went for $66 in your expert's draft?
And, btw, don't count me out of the bidding for Albert and Prince ...

ow we’re talking. Thanks for the clarification. Given that Brad is
ow the guy who will be eating the bug, I’d definitely appreciate some
elp in locating something that is appropriately juicy. You live in
he suburbs, right? I’m thinking a rehydrated cicada might do the
rick.

ut just to fill you in on league history. There is some precedent
ere. Mr. Gammons once promised to eat a bug and we’re still waiting.
opefully Mr. Jansen will have the stones to actually man up WHEN he
oses this bet.

Jeff, what i meant to say earlier was "Help supplying the bug,
r getting it OVER 50?" No wonder you got the wrong impression.

But it looks like either you or Brad are eating a bug now.

may bid 60 just to lock him up, or I may let the rest of you bid high
n those guys and continue to drive your cash streams down. I don't
now, I haven't decided yet.

So, Dennis, that’s the way it’s going to be huh? ;-)

ood to know. But be prepared for me putting you to the test. I may
ust start the bidding at $49 and see what you’re made of.

elp supplying the bug, or keeping it under 50?

Brad Lee,

hat would be $50 for each.

nd how about this for putting my money (or is that stomach) where my
outh is. I’ll eat a bug if Pujols goes for less than $50.

Dennis, I’m counting on you to help me out here…..)

Jeff, is that fifty for both? Please be more precise if you intend to
ay something else, and I assume you do. Neither goes for fifty.
hat's my prediction.

While I agree that the very top starting pitchers have all been
etained, it looks to me like there's a reasonably deep pool of
itchers at the next tier. It's the offense where I think things are
ikely to get more interesting. Factoring in that: (i) most teams
lready have at least one top starting pitcher retained; and (ii) the
istorical hesitancy of this league to bid up pitchers, I expect the
nflation factor on hitting to be quite high and the inflation factor
n pitching to be relatively low. I figure Pujols and Fielder go for
50+.
