The differences in both cases are waivers of players who were on long-term contracts, and those amounts are deducted from your auction balance.

Perhaps my math is wrong, but I have Rick as having $177 available for draft (not $167) and Brad having $178 available (not $171).  It is highly possible though that I overlooked something or missed a transaction that led to the numbers below, but going by the active salaries on the website, thats the numbers I got.
