On the other hand, I offered Jeffrey an opportunity for a USML title for Mr. Myers, but Jeff said no. I can only imagine what he will cost.

That's 2 years in a row that the Berliners have owned the Minor League Player of the Year. Of course, you're all fully aware of the return that Mr. Jansen got by trading for last year's winner, Mike Trout. One can only imagine the return that young Wil might provide (and at only $10 to boot).

The trading season begins the day after the Brats are crowned the 2012 champions. You know where to find me.

Jeff

Dear JEFFREY,

Wil Power

Wil Myers finished second in the overall minor league home run race
The Royals believed Wil Myers could profile as a middle-of-the-order hitter, but it took until this year for him to really hit like one. After making some tweaks to hit for more power, Myers crushed 37 long balls as a 21-year-old in Double-A and Triple-A, earning his way to our 2012 Minor League Player of the Year Award.

• J.J. Cooper answered your questions about the Minor League Player of the Year selection in a chat.

• The Texas League also featured two other hitters who weren't fazed by skipping a level and playing in Double-A as teenagers in the Rangers' Jurickson Profar and the Cardinals' Oscar Taveras .

• J.J. Cooper and Matt Eddy recorded a new Podcast talking about Myers and the Player of the Year race.
