[USML Announce] USML Faab Balances

Let's not beat around the bush, Mr. B. If you want to make an allegation that the Riptorns and I cheated, then you had best go ahead and do so. The innuendo is every bit as bad.

In fact, 6 teams bid on Happ:

Berliners: $52
Riptorns: $50
Hoosier Daddies: $32
Nukes: $21
Block's Bombers: $13
Klein: $6

He is a rotation starter for what may be the best team in the league. Why is it surprising that the bidding was aggressive? Brad needs a starter and I have Danks on the DL and Lackey headed there imminently.

Better yet, what exactly is the advantage to either Brad or me that comes from the $51 contract? I burned $51 of FAAB for a player that will now be very hard to roster and stay under the salary cap. Brad didn't get the pitcher he wanted and even were he to get him from me in a trade, would have a potentially similar problem. Had the bids come out in the same manner with the Nukes getting him at $51, perhaps your conspiracy nonsense wouldn't be as out of place.

'nuff said.

Jeff

Yes, an interesting bidding result. Here were the bids:

Riptorns: $50
Berliners: $52

Let's see on which team Mr. Happ ends up....

Now, back to my perch....

It sounds to me like someone has been making some FAAB bids, huh?

You going for an upgrade over Mr. Keppinger or trolling for an outfielder that actually plays?

I think Mark needs to clean up the FAAB settings. It looks like some old adjustments persist.
