This just in:


Middlebrooks left Wednesday's game with right wrist soreness and will be re-evaluated Thursday, Michael Silverman of the Boston Herald reports.


WINNER:  The Berliners who now can enjoy a little schadenfreude as they watch the team that loudly proclaimed its desire to watch the Berliners suffer, do a little bot of suffering itself.


LOSER;  The Riptorns take a huge blow to their hopes for 2013.  A power hitter with a bum wrist is the rough equivalent of a stolen base guy with a sore hamstring.  They both spell disaster.
