Carter, who is out of the Astros' lineup Tuesday in St. Louis, is suffering through a minor hand concern, after he was hit by a throw in the weekend series against the Rangers, the Houston Chronicle<https://twitter.com/ChronAstros/status/354720937712680960> reports.
Fantasy Analysis
The absence will mark Carter's third consecutive, a span in which he fit in just one unsuccessful pinch-hit appearance. However, he participated in batting practice Tuesday, and the ailment shouldn't keep him out of commission for too much longer.

Fantasy Analysis
The 26-year-old is considered expendable as the Astros continue their rebuilding efforts. The Yankees need a right-handed hitter who can play first and outfield, which makes them one potential destination leading into the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline.


Hey - maybe he'll go to the Yankees.  But you've got to give Kerber credit for getting ahead of this.

Fair warning - he's a sneaky one that Mr. Kerber.  And he clearly knows what he's doing.  Of course, I say that with great admiration.
