Looks like Veras will be the set-up man for Benoit. Per rotoworld:

Veras, 32, has a cool 2.93 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 44/14 K/BB ratio in 43 innings this year with Houston and could get a shot at saves in Detroit if Joaquin Benoit experiences a couple of hiccups. Veras is earning $1.85 million this season and carries a $3.25 million team option for 2014.

"Don't worry. Be happy."

ITEM

DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers added some help for their shaky bullpen Monday, acquiring reliever Jose Veras from the Houston Astros for minor league outfielder Danry Vasquez and a player to be named.
Veras is 0-4 with a 2.93 ERA and 19 saves this season, and the 32-year-old right-hander has struck out 44 in 43 innings with only 14 walks.

LOSER
Berliners. With Red Hots using ex-Riptorn beano Nick Franklin to nab Cabrera and other keepers and a non-strike throwing minor leaguer to nab keeper Jhonny Peralta, Berliners have lost all hope in clinging to first, and now must worry about falling behind tortured and vengeful Riptorns.

WINNER
Rips. With Veras closing for a team that actually wins games, Rips will soar to the top in saves points, grab second place and BE HAPPY ABOUT IT.
