No, Mike Moustakas isn't headed for the College World Series, but he could be headed for Omaha, where the Kansas City Royals' Triple-A affiliate develops players. The third baseman is just 8-for-44 in June and hasn't logged an extra-base hit in more than three weeks. It may be time to send down the former first-round pick . 

Moustakas, whose triple-slash is down to .183/.249/.279 for the season, could have until Jarrod Dyson is ready to come off the disabled list, which could be any day now. He has nine days left on his 20-day maximum rehab assignment, but the Royals can activate him anytime. 





As if having a "dead" third baseman weren't bad enough, this one has a guaranteed contract for next year.  And look who will be replacing Mr. Moustakas on the roster - Jarrod Dyson.  Just another example of how Skippy is at least two moves ahead of Brad Lee at every turn.
