[USML Announce] Keith Law's Updated Prospect Ranking

My point was that Buxton is better than Sano. Not that he's any closer to the majors.

Now Springer, Lindor and Walker.....they're close to the majors.....and they're good.

How's the fishing over there in Nukes land, btw? Landed any trout yet?

Jeff

Kerbs, you are correct that I waived Bundy some time ago. Goes to show how little Jeffrey knows about my team. Back to my huff and puff,
Brad Lee

I think Bundy got waived.
I don't think Buxton is exactly on the cusp of the majors, either.

so the list is objective, but doesn't account for how productive a player is projected to be. I think I got it.

How much did Brad pay you for that? Or is it just that I suggested otherwise that compelled you to disagree.

Bogaerts is great - noted. Though years away.
Sano is terrific - noted. Ditto.
Myers should be good, but is struggling at AAA and looking like less of a sure thing.
Bundy has a bad elbow and his contract is running. That doesn't count as a prospect. That's an empty slot.

So, that's three out of the top 7. Pretty good. But hardly license to write off the prospects of the team with 3 out of the top 8.

Jeff

I see 4 Riptorns in the top #11, tops in the USML...I'd say Brad's puffing is warranted.

Is that what goes on over there? I have to hang out with Brad more. But it does explain some of his press releases.

With all the huffing and puffing coming out of Rip Torn headquarters, I thought this would be a good time to give everyone an unbiased look at the top beans. This seems like a particularly good time given the fact that June 1st is just around the corner.

#1 - Oscar Tavares - St. Louis - wrong league.
#2 - Byron Buxton - Minnesota/Berliners/$5
#3 - Xander Bogaerts - Boston/Riptorn/$5
#4 - Christian Yelich - Miami - wrong league
#5 - Francisco Lindor - Cleveland/Berliners/$10
#6 - Miguel Sano - Minnesota/Riptorns/$2
#7 - Wil Myers - Tampa Bay/Riptorns/$10
#8 - Taijuan Walker - Seattle/Berliners/$10
#9 - Archie Bradley - Arizona - wrong league.
#10 - Addison Russell - Oakland/Hoosiers/$5
#11 - Dylan Bundy - Baltimore/Riptorns/Running Contract
#12 - Gerrit Cole - Pittsburgh - wrong league
#13 - Aaron Sanchez - Toronto/Red Hots/$2
#14 - Jameson Taillon - Pittsburgh - wrong league
#15 - Zack Wheeler - New York Mets - wrong league
#16 - Gary Sanchez - New York Yankees/Hoosiers/$5
#17 - Anthony Rendon - Washington - wrong league
#18 - Mike Zunino - Seattle/Red Hots/$2
#19 - Carlos Correa - Houston/Hoosiers/$2
#20 - Kyle Zimmer - Kansas City/Red Hots/$10
#21 - Jorge Soler - Cubs - wrong league/right team
#22 - Gregory Polanco - Pittsburgh - wrong league
#23 - Garin Cecchini - Boston/Free Agent
#24 - Michael Wacha - St. Louis - wrong league
#25 - Taylor Guerrieri - Tampa Bay/Adams/$5

So, please process the ravings of Mr. J with a grain of salt....a big one. Sano is years away and not the greatest prospect in the history of baseball. Hell, if he were on the Berliners, he'd be the third best prospect on that team alone. Bogaerts is pretty good though. I can't really dispute that.

Jeff
