I'm never sure when to take Brad seriously, but I'll take him at his word this time.  In lieu of this past year's unfortunate   turn of the events, and to protect the sanctity of the league's founding fathers, I will politely withdraw the Brat franchise from the 2014 race.  No need for goodbyes- I am happy to keep correspondence with each and every one of you and thoroughly enjoyed participating in the league all these years. Jeff, if possible please send the Rips' prize moolah to the Chicago Food Depository or, more appropriately, use it to buy pastries for the '14 draft.
Also-I promised myself after my last colonoscopy that if in any October Juan Uribe hit a home run in post-season-play and the White Sox signed a Cuban I would retire from the usml for the second and last time (I promise, really!!). After all these years it's about time for other fantasies.
