Sure, you can go shopping for a Bentley and pay the market price. OR.....you can shop at the bargain basement and walk away with a nice trinket or two without having to leave an arm and a leg behind.

Here's what Blocker Doppleganger Eric Karabell had to say about Carlos Santana:

Carlos Santana was just beginning to show signs of improvement before suffering a concussion.
Fantasy owners haven’t enjoyed owning Cleveland Indians catcher Carlos Santana this season. Sure, he added third base eligibility early on and he has contributed modest power, but a .159 batting average through nearly two months is painful, and the result has Santana -- a top-five catcher for sure on draft day -- showing up on free-agent lists. Now that Santana has been placed on the 7-day disabled list with a concussion suffered Sunday behind the plate, he’s sure to become more available. Of course, that’s a mistake. The right move features patience and buying low.
Santana's OPS is more than 200 points below last season's mark, but it was rising recently. In fact, the patient switch-hitter had a pretty decent series in Baltimore over the weekend, hitting his sixth home run, batting in four, drawing five walks and scoring five runs. A .177 BABIP is the main culprit here, and it's rare to see someone with this much plate discipline and power struggle this much. He has been unlucky. Santana's isolated power isn't too far off, he's hitting plenty of fly balls and oh, that wonderful walk rate is a beauty to behold. This is someone to target, and he doesn't figure to be out past the weekend, so being a bit more patient or making an offer to the Santana owner soon is warranted.

Oh, wait. There's more. Adam Dunn, Mitch Moreland (full time at bats with Fielder out for the year), Juan Francisco (don't laugh - look at the numbers), David DeJesus, Brad Peacock (another guy who warrants a closer look - he's been very good lately).

Here's the key - I'm not looking for much. My roster is already packed and stacked for next year.

You know where to find me.

Jeff
