By USML tradition, any Winick championship (and there have been several) is automatically subject to an asterisk.

Plus an asterisk on this season for Jeff.

Greetings;

    I think if any penalty is meted out it should be mitigated by the fact that we should have caught the error during the draft. Ergo, Andrus is Jeff's to do what he wants with, but a hit to the FAAB seems an appropriate slap to the wrist.

All,

I've expressed my view that this was a minor and innocent error, and I was/am fine with the original solution. John is right that Mark's original note didn't address what would happen if Andrus was traded. If we consider deducting his cost ($22) from the Berliner's FAAB as accounting for that, can we make the adjustment and move forward?

I would have thought a penalty in the way of a FAAB dollars reduction for Berliners would have been one way of imparting a small penalty - perhaps in lieu of Doug's objections, that can be revisited. Generally I was okay with the resolution of the innocent mistake, but Doug has a point in that by now trading away Andrus, it washes away any penalty that might have been or should have been incurred by the Berliners.
