[USML Announce] USML 2017 -- Draft Date and Schedule

My initial assessment is that the Berliners will be re-building and aiming to reclaim the Damon in 2018.  If you think you’ve got a shot at the title in 2017 there’s lots of talent on the Berliners that could help you on your way.  Consider the following:

Ian Kinsler - $24 Y2 (117 runs, 28 HR, 14 SB)
Kyle Seager - $28 Y2 (Thin market at 3B)
Brad Miller - $16 Y2 (30 HR from a SS)
Khris Davis - $26 Y2 (41 HR)
Miguel Sano - $10 Option Year (25 HR)

And how about these pitchers:

Sam Dyson - $8 Y2 (Texas Closer)
Marcus Stroman - $10 LT17
Danny Salazar - $15 Y2
Carlos Carrasco - $10 LT17

It looks like I'll probably have more keepers than retention roster slots.  So, if any of you have a few stud keepers but lack depth, maybe we can figure out something to make us both better.  I could move either major leaguers or prospects.

  Let the games begin....the 29th USML season will get underway soon.  We have now set a draft date -- it will occur on Sunday, March 19, starting at 8 am at Jeff Winick's offices.  Please make a note on your calendar's to block off that date.

  Now that we have a draft date set, here are the other deadlines that will apply:

March 12:  Retention rosters due
March 16:  Dump-a-dog deadline
March 19:  Draft day
April 2:  MLB Opening day
