Awesome day at the USML Draft. As Andy has regularly said – it is the best day of the year. So glad we were all able to get together once again.
The Pippin’s Nothing But a Dog Prognostications are being prepared, but in the meantime a few game day honors:
F-You and Your Mother Too: Admiral Andy Klein who earned his rank by cussing like a sailor.
Loud and Proud Award: Mark Blocker who spoke up and drafted himself a great team.
Wait….What…Never Mind Award: Mark Blocker and Mark Kerber for the first two withdrawn bids in the history of the USML.
Sticking to Your Guns Award: For drafting Dean Kremer again. We all know who. 😉
Welcome Back Award: Jeff Cohen – didn’t realize how much you were missed until you returned. GREAT to have you back.
King of Comedy: Buddha – for a string of awesome one liners throughout the draft.
Preliminary indications suggest that it will be a battle between Buddha, Mark B. Mark K., Frank and me for the 2025 Damon. Good luck.
Jeff

Good morning all,
As Andy said, great to see (and hear) everyone yesterday! Draft Day is always something to look forward to.
Thanks to Jeff for hosting and thanks in advance to Mark for consolidating all our notes into Onroto.

Thanks to all for organizing, offering facilities, and for website administration, etc.
Great stuff, but I missed the in-person banter - always entertaining!
Thanks guys!

Josh Rojas has a sore toe. You might ask, "what's the big deal?" But there's an old proverb that's been repeated in many versions over the years, by many people, including Benjamin Franklin. It goes like this.
For Want of a Nail
For want of a nail the shoe was lost.
For want of a shoe the horse was lost.
For want of a horse the rider was lost.
For want of a rider the message was lost.
For want of a message the battle was lost.
For want of a battle the kingdom was lost.
And all for the want of a horseshoe nail.
So, there you have it. The beginning of the end.
