Butler is my monster talent not Blocker's. -----Original Message----- From: springkerb at aol.com Date: Tue, 21 Jun 2005 16:14:56 To:announce at usml.net Subject: [USML Announce] Billy Butler Here's the latest on Blocker-proclaimed super-prospect (or is it Monster Talent) Billy Butler. As many of you may recall, Blocker seemed to feel that I was premature in proclaiming Alex Gordon KC's third baseman of the future, in light of Butler's presence at that position. I politely disagreed. Without disparaging Butler (which I would never do, of course), I contended that Butler might well be destined for another position. Looks like KC agrees. Single-A High Desert's Billy Butler went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI yesterday in his return from a bruised hand. Butler played left field on Monday and that will likely remain his position for the foreseeable future. The decision to draft Alex Gordon had to play some role in the decision to move Butler now, but the 2004 first-round pick h!
ad no future at third base anyway.
