Freeze Rosters and Slotting: Players who currently have USML rookie status
will be treated as rookie-eligibles for freeze list and slotting purposes,
regardless of expected Major League status. This means they may be retained as
"plus three" players on Roster Freeze Day and will be "slotted down" to the
reserve rosters for the auction draft. All non-rookies retained on freeze
lists will be "slotted up" for the auction draft, regardless of expected Major
League status.

Note that this will apply to McPherson even though he will start the season
on the 60-day DL after he has his season-ending and career-threatening back
surgery in the next week or so.
