[USML Announce] Rule change for 2006 to think about

I would like to spin the wheels on a proposed rule change to begin in the 2006 season. We put this one in place in my NL Roto league and it seemed fairer and has worked well. When a player is traded to the "Other League" (NL in our case) his stats continue to accrue for your USML team. Then, if at the next roster freeze date he is still on an NL roster he would not be eligible to be retained.

In addition we do not allow anyone who comes over from the "Other League" to be claimed during the season but we don't use FAAB when picking up free agents so i don't believe we need to implement that.

I feel that injuries are part of the game and should you get a guy that breaks down, that is your tough luck but to have a player just plucked from your roster in mid-season seems to put too much of an element of luck into the equation. Maybe there is history within the league that would keep folks from supporting this rule and again i obviously shouldn't be implemented to 2006 since certain players "trade probabilities" effected their auction price but I would be interested in hearing people's comments.
