As for whether or not the concession is premature I refer you to some of the great Klein collapses of year's past.? Andy's ability to choke down the stretch makes the 69 Cubs?pale in comparison.? So, although Mark K. has never suffered through the same kind of stretch run failure - you never know.? I'd say give it at least another month.? There are still potential waiver wire deals, still lots of time for unexpected injuries and the odd possibility that Mark revisits an old Nuke strategy where he shuts down his pitching?to preserve ERA and Ratio, all the while watching his leads in the counting categories evaporate.? As for Brad's premature crowing about being ahead of the Berliners, everyone should take note of the fact that Brad Lee has almost no chance whatsoever of making the innings minimums, meaning that his total is artificially inflated. He should be more worried about staying ahead of PT/KR than hanging with me.

And look at the standings, if your eyes ever gaze below 2nd place.? Who stands taller than the Berliners today?
