[USML Announce] Winick Rains, It Pours

First of all, I won't stoop to Jeffery's oft-used campaign tactic of
discrediting my players based on misrepresentations, skewed data and out and
out falsehoods. Don't let him intimidate any of you from dealing with me
because you're afraid of incurring his wrath, scorn or vitriol. And let me
also add that every quote of Jeff that appears in my dispatches is
attributable to Mr. Winick, something I just confirmed with the League's
fact checker.

Some other points:
  1. With the exception of Andy Klein, any savvy baseball fan or roto geek
knows that small sample sizes mean nothing...so who cares what Corey batted
between 5/11 and 5/15, let alone his walk to strikeout ratio. He steals
bases, and that remains a category in 5x5, or did I miss that rule change,
too?

  2. Pick on the likes of Kendrick, Huber, et al. (but, of course, no
comment on sllugging Wily Mo, hmmmm wonder why?) I got 'em for next year
anyway and not to peddle now or next week, and I can't account for their
use/misuse at the big league level: I guess Matt Stairs means something to
Allen Baird is all I can say...

  3. And, Jeff, re-calibrate your value settings. I'd say that Thome's
value exceeds $40, not $30...

 4. But we do agree about one thing: placing hopes in the arms and/or raw
talent of young twirlers like King Felix...better to spend, say, $7 more on
a vet like Jeff Weaver...so that you really know what you're getting.

That is not all, ffffolkkks,
Brad the Beleagured
