Well ... I'm big on the handshaking thing. So congratulations to the Nukes.
From Day One, Kerber took a bunch of calculated risks and damn near every
one paid off. His victory was well-earned. And congrats to the AYM, as
well. In my view, Uncle Doug made the best series of trades in league history.
(Note to Blocker: That was intended to be a genuine compliment to Doug, not
another poke at Swisher.)

Anyway, I'm licking my wounds and counting my Hansens. Rest assured that
the Nine will back in the hunt in 2007!

I echo Andy's sentiments. First, Doug, that was a tremendous run. You made
the race interesting down the stretch and proved to be a resourceful trader.
The trade in which you dealt Mariano Rivera, while it got much less street
"press" than the Swisher deal, was one of the best trades of the year.

Mark, you did a tremendous job managing your team this year. You were not
one of the teams that went into the draft loaded with undervalue, but you made
calculated risks that all made sense and all worked out. For making the
draft count, you a true hero to the Bombers. Also, you will be our inspiration
at next year's draft - a reminder that you do not need to be loaded with
undervalue t have a chance.

To all, enjoy the offseason...
