Baseball: Hunter beaned in face
2007-04-26 17:38 (New York)

Minneapolis, MN, Apr 26, 2007 (The Sports Network via COMTEX) -- Minnesota
Twins outfielder Torii Hunter left Tuesday's 1-0 win over the Kansas City Royals
after being hit in the face with a pitch by Royals pitcher Zack Greinke.

The injury occurred in the second inning. Hunter, leading off the inning, worked
a 2-2 count before Greinke beaned him.

Hunter held the left side of his face as he started to charge the mound, but
stopped and doubled over in pain. He left the field under his own power and was
taken to a local hospital, where he received three stitches to repair the cut on
his mouth. He is listed as day-to-day.

Hunter is batting .315 with four home runs and 16 RBI in 20 games this season.
