I would cut his sorry ass. Does he have as many homers as Dukes yet?

Cheers!

At $2, is there even a question?

The proof in the pudding will be whether the Nukes choose to retain Magic Alex.

MBB:
A point taken, if not necessarily well. The proof in the pudding will be whether the Nukes choose to retain Magic Alex. So I'll defer further comments on that subject to him....Scott Eyre warming in the bullpen....Reds smell sweep....

I would normally dismiss your comments as background noise, but as someone who long touted Brandon Wood and then pinned your 2007 hopes to the raw and unproven Alex Gordon (whom you kept on your, apparently thin, retention roster), I am soaking in your wisdom about young players with open ears. Thank you for this kernel of knowledge.

Tis a pity when one's reserve roster is so thin with talent that one must reserve such young, raw and unproven players. Which causes one to ask: where were you during the Dotel/Dukes Derby?

Rich:

Thank you for asking this very pertinent and timely question. In fact, all of the Bomber draft picks signed and will be on my retention roster (barring offseason trade). -- Mark B.

Hey -- have the Blocker draft picks been signed yet or will they be available in
next year's MLB draft?

Thank you for the latest installment of "Pump and Dump," the daily publication
of the Riptorn franchise. To provide a more even-handed view of league affairs,
I thought I would offer the following item:

Joba Chamberlain <http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/player_main.asp?sport=MLB&id=4518
>
? RHP Yankees ?

"Easily the player who has done the most for his prospect status during the
first four and a half months of the 2007 season, Chamberlain is now firmly
entrenched as one of the game's top pitching prospects ." -- Rotoworld

"During his stint in Tampa Chamberlain posted a 2.03 ERA and 51/11 K/BB ratio.
He pitched similarly well after moving up to Trenton for eight appearances and
Scranton-Wilkes Barre for three more. Between the three levels, the Native
American right-hander recorded a 2.45 ERA and an incredible 135/27 K/BB ratio in
88 1/3 innings of work." -- Bomber Nation Press Guide

"Chamberlain has the stuff that one can dream on, and he'll likely step in as no
worse than a No. 3 starter for the Yankees in 2008. In time he'll be an ace" --
Rotoworld

"You never hear about this guy because he is not a Riptorn" -- Winick Worldwide
Publications

"What ever happened to King Bean?" -- Some Bloke Named Andy Klein

"If you no help me now, I say forget you Jo-Ba." -- The movie "Major League"
(quote slightly altered for effect)

Today's hot news item....

 Clay Buchholz - BOS - S August 15
According to the Boston Globe, the Red Sox are likely to call up Clay Buchholz
to start one of the game's in Friday's doubleheader.
Nothing official has been announced yet because the Red Sox are said to be
trying to clear roster space, perhaps by trading Wily Mo Pena. Buchholz is among
the elite pitching prospects in baseball and has moved very quickly this season.

Save your FAAB, Andy. Clay's a Rip.
